Cookies and data use

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device by the site you visit. It lets the site remember information from one page to the next (your sign-in, your language) or, for measurement tools, recognise the same browser between two visits.

2. Required cookies (always on)

These cookies are essential for the service to work and are never used for measurement or advertising. They therefore cannot be refused.

• tamtam-finconnect-session: keeps your session and sign-in; expires after 2 hours of inactivity.
• XSRF-TOKEN: protects forms against forged requests; 2 hours.
• locale: remembers your chosen language (French or English); 1 year.
• tt_consent: remembers your cookie choice; 13 months.

3. Audience measurement: Google Analytics

Google Analytics tells us how the site is used, in aggregate: pages viewed, visit duration, origin (search engine, link, campaign), device and browser type, approximate country and city. We add a few steps of the sign-up flow and of the Business Plan Express, described by category only (for example "sign-up started", "code verified", type of identifier used, business sector). This data is used to improve the site and to spot the steps where visitors drop off.

• _ga and _ga_<identifier>: tell visitors apart pseudonymously; 2 years.

4. Advertising measurement: Google Ads

When TamTam FinConnect runs ads on Google, Google Ads measures whether a visit coming from an ad leads to a useful action on the site, such as a sign-up. With your consent, it also allows our ads to be shown again to people who visited the site (remarketing). Without your consent, no advertising cookie is set: Google only receives cookieless signals, which it uses to estimate the number of conversions.

• _gcl_au: links a sign-up to the ad click; 90 days.
• google.com domain cookies: used by Google for remarketing, under its own rules.

5. What is never shared

No data from your account or your file is sent to Google: no name, phone number, email address, NINEA or RCCM, document or financial figure. TamTam FinConnect sells no data.

6. Who receives this data

Measurement data is processed by Google (Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC) as a service provider, and may be transferred outside Senegal, including to the United States. The TamTam FinConnect team views it as statistics.

7. Your choice

"Accept all" turns on audience measurement and advertising measurement. "Refuse all" turns both off, and the site remains fully usable. Until you answer, audience measurement is on and advertising measurement off. Your choice is kept for 13 months, after which you will be asked again. You can change it at any time through "Manage cookies" at the bottom of the page, or delete cookies from your browser settings.

8. Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, objection and deletion as described in the privacy policy, and refer to Senegal's personal data protection authority (CDP).
