About the program

This financing line lets Senegalese SMEs fund their equipment, inventory or working-capital needs under Islamic finance principles: no interest but a margin, fixed at signing and payable in instalments. This line targets in priority SMEs affected by COVID-19, operating since at least 2019, and relies on their financial statements from recent years to assess the application. Key points: • Term: up to 36 months. The line is reaching the end of its cycle, so the maximum term has been reduced from 60 to 36 months. • Margin: 5.5% per year, flat and all-inclusive — known from the start. On 10 million FCFA, the margin is 550,000 FCFA over 12 months, 1,100,000 FCFA over 24 months and 1,650,000 FCFA over 36 months. • Grace period: a repayment grace period is possible, assessed case by case according to the business cycle. • Collateral: any security that mitigates the financing is acceptable (pledge, personal guarantee, FONGIP guarantee, contract domiciliation, etc.). Indicative amounts: from 7 to 100 million FCFA, depending on the project. Applications are reviewed by the TAM TAM analysts.
